Kanglei Yoga and Research Centre fetes National and Int'l athletes

Imphal, April 05 2025: Kanglei Yoga and Research Centre, Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai today felicitated yoga athletes who participated and brought home medals from the recent National and international competitions.

The felicitation programmes of athletes who shone at the 10th World Yogasana Championship hosted by Vietnam and 36th National Yogasana Championship 2025 was held at the office of Kanglei Yoga and Research Centre in the presence of Dr N Ibohal, general secretary of Manipur State Yoga Association; L Ibopishak, president of Manipur State Yoga Association; Dr Kh Mukta, HOD, Yoga Department, Manipur International University among others as dignitaries.

Speaking at the occasion, president of Kanglei Yoga and Research Centre, P Arunkumar highlighted the achievements of State players who brought home 6 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals from the recently held 10th World Yogasana Championship in Vietnam's Hanoi by a 13-member team including three officials and 30 medals from the 36th National Yogasana championship by a 40-member team.

He maintained that the Kanglei Yoga and Research Centre has been able to produce many athletes over the years.

Lauding the performances of the State athletes he also shed lights on the numerous health benefits one can achieve by practising yoga.
