17th Manipur State League USA edge past MPSC 2-1 as NESU thrash TRAU 3-0

Imphal, April 05 2025: USA, Khurai edged past MPSC by 2-1 goals as NESU, Khurai thrashed TRAU, Kwakeithel by 3-0 goals in their ultimate Group A matches of the ongoing 17th Manipur State League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

In the 79th match of the 19-team tournament, USA rode on Keisham Dingkal's double (45+2', 52') to edge MPSC by 2-1 goals after Thangjam Kiran put MPSC ahead after 4 minutes.

It was the 6th win for USA and eventually helped them finish third on 20 points from 9 matches (6 wins and 2 draws) .

Later in the day, NESU ended their Group campaign with a 3-0 rout of TRAU for the fourth win.

NESU led the opening half 1-0 courtesy of MD Mustofa's 16th minute strike before Khundom Umakanta (67') and Thounaojam Meiraba (80') added a goal apiece to set up the 3-0 victory.

With the win, NESU finished fifth in the team standings on 14 points off 4 wins and 2 draws.
