Manipur Cycling team hopes to give its best at Kerala National Games

Manipur Cycling Team is seriously preparing to bring laurels for the state at the 35th National Games to be held in Kerala and hoping to perform its best.
The team will leave on February 1 .
Currently, the team members are undergoing last minute training at the Khuman Lampak Velodrome, Imphal.
Those who will be participating at the National games include; O Bikram (Scratch Race -4 km Team Pursuit); K Amarjit Meitei (4 km Individual Pursuit); M Kiran Singh (1 km Time Trail Position Race); Albert Oinam (Team Sprint); N Birjit Singh (4 km Individual Sprint); Ch Bhimojit (Spring Team- Keirin Race); L Maniton scratch race (4 km Team Pursuit); M Moramba Meitei (1km Time Trail); T Sonia (4 km Team Pursuit); T Bidyalaxmi (3 km Individual Pursuit); Y Sunita Devi (3 km Individual Pursuit); Ch Rameshwori Devi (500 Metre Time Trail); T Neta Devi (500 Metre Time Trail); I Matouliebi (Sprint); RK Abe (10 km Scratch Race) and M Somali Devi (Sprint) .

The team's coaches will be O Basanta and I Gautamani.
A Chandrasekhar and T Jayanta Singh will be the team managers.
It may be mentioned that in the last edition of the National Games in Jharkhand, out of 48 medals bagged by the State, Manipur Cycling Team secured 7 Gold Medals.
There were all together 13 medals bagged by the team.
Coach O Basanta told Hueiyen Lanpao that the National Games in Kerala will witness many young cyclists from the State.
This will be a test for Manipur, he said.
"If we cannot perform as good as the Jharkhand Games, at least four to five medals are expected this time.
We are expecting at least 10 medals this time including gold, bronze and silver", said the coach.
