Imphal, January 24 2015 :
A State conference of the CPI Manipur State Council would be held for three days starting from Fe-bruary 13 at Irilbung, Imphal East and the party would launch different mass agitation this year, CPI State unit se-cretary Dr M Nara.
Speaking to media persons at Irabot Bhavan today, Dr Nara said that the State conference would be held ahead of the CPI's 22nd congress scheduled to be held at Pudu-cherry from March 25 to 29 this year.
Establishment of a BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre has heralded certain changes.
However, the BJP Government has been providing ample opportunities to many influential sections to indulge in all kinds of graft practices against the very foundation of the Indian Constitution.
Capitalising on the UPA Government's misgovernance and scores of corruption scandals involving many high profile Congress leaders, BJP was able to garner absolute majority in the Lok Sabha.
Just three months after being elected to power, BJP adopted the same form of misgovernance which rooted out the Congress-led UPA Government, Dr Nara asserted.
The BJP Government at the Centre cancelled many subsidies which otherwise should benefit poor masses of the country.
The Government has been actively pursuing an anti-labourers policy in favour of a handful of capitalist class.
The BJP Government has been ruling the country after passing nine ordinances instead of debating the same politico-legal frameworks in the Parliament.
The BJP Government is also actively pur- suing a communal and discriminatory policy thereby fomenting communal conflicts.
The Government supported and directed by RSS has been following a policy to make India a Hindu country.
Alleging that the Congress Government of the State is insincere, Dr Nara said he does not believe the State Government would ever do anything beneficial for the people.
Rampant graft practices promoted by the Congress Government has been breeding insurgency in the State.
Fixing a price tag on each and every Government job has landed Manipur in total anarchy.
Talking about the ILPS issue, Dr Nara said that the all political parties committee on ILPS has already submitted its report to the Government.
CPI is hoping that the report would be tabled in the State Assembly in the form of a Bill.
In case the Government does not table the report, CPI Manipur State Council would not remain silent.
All major issues of the State including AFSPA would be deliberated at the upcoming State conference and appropriate resolutions would be adopted, Dr Nara said.
Strongly condemning the killing of a 13 year old student in police firing at Lilong, Dr Nara demanded proper and thorough enquiry into the killing.
