Sarit-Sarat Association Manipur objects inclusion of Sarit-Sarat in Thang-Ta competition

Imphal, September 21 2025: The Sarit-Sarat Association, Manipur has expressed strong objections to the inclusion of Sarit-Sarat as an event in a proposed Thang-Ta competition by the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur.

In a press release, the apex body of Sarit-Sarat, a traditional unarmed martial art form, stated that it has a robust National Federation with 22 constituent State units.

The association highlighted its achievements, including the successful organization of the 2nd National Sarit-Sarak Championship and upcoming events, such as the 2nd National Federation Cup in Assam and the 3rd National Championship in Uttar Pradesh.

The Sarit-Sarat Association, Manipur, urged the Thang-Ta association to focus on preserving and promoting Thang-Ta rather than interfering in Sarit-Sarat's affairs.
