UTA crowned State Taekwondo champs

UTA were crowned overall champions of the 33rd Manipur State Taekwondo Championship 2024 as the competition wrapped up on Sunday.
UTA added two gold medals on the final day to end their campaign with a huge haul of 24 gold, 28 silver and 40 bronze medals, amassing 5435 points in total for their overall championship crown.
Thangjam Jack Singh (sr male -68kg) and Soibam Tina Devi (sr female -73kg) were the top finishers for UTA on the concluding day.
PTA finished runners-up with 15 gold, six silver and 18 bronze medals.
On the final day, Vivek Phairembam (sr male -68kg), Kh Chanchan Devi (sr female -57kg) and Pheiroijam Nivash Meitei (cadet boys -57kg) won gold medals for PTA.
NSA completed the top three.
They claimed 13 gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals over the course of the competition.
Both Naorem Rebeca Devi (jr girls -52kg) and Irungbam Sayata Devi (jr girls -68kg) took gold medal for NSA on the last day of the championship.
