Manipur emerge elite champions in 21st Natl Mountain Biking C'ship

Imphal, April 01 2025: Kharaksing Adonis Tangpu led the way as Manipur emerged elite category champions in the 21st National Mountain Biking Championship that was held from March 28 to 31 at Panchkula, Haryana.

Adonis Tangpu won a gold medal in the men's elite XCO (Cross Country Olympic) event and a silver medal in the XCT (Cross Country Short Track) competition respectively while Khundrakpam Ronel bagged a bronze medal in the men's elite XCO event.

Thotmachan Awungshi also won a silver medal in the U-23 men's XCO event as Manipur settled for as many as 4 medals at the championship.

The State team of 7 riders were led by Ngathem Pungfa as team manager and Dr Tourangbam Alex as team coach, said Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) in a statement while congratulating the players and officials over their achievement.
