Imphal, December 30: Model Club coasted to a six wicket victory over IWVCC in a preliminary round match of the 5th Manipur Veteran Cricket Championship at the Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary ground today.

Set to score 139 for win, Model Club overhauled the target at 140 for four in 21.2 overs with ng Amuba bagging the man of the match award for his 68 runs.

Earlier, IWVCC opting to bat first on winning the toss laboured to 139 for the loss of nine wickets in the 30 over game.

The next match between WCA and NAPSA will be played on January 2, 2008.
