State Basketball: YC, BDPA, CYLC, LMYVA script wins

Youth Club, BDPA, CYLC and LMYVA registered convincing victories in their respective fixtures of the 38th State Sub-Junior and 15th Junior Boys' Basketball Championship 2025 on Friday.
In the day's opening encounter, Youth Club overpowered ESU 65-19 in a one-sided contest played in the early morning session.
Youth Club began in emphatic fashion, storming to a 25-2 lead in the first quarter.
Their offensive line, spearheaded by precise mid-range shooting and swift fast breaks, left ESU struggling to settle into the game.
The second quarter saw ESU improve marginally, but Youth Club continued to dictate the tempo, adding 17 points to their tally while restricting their opponents to 6.By halftime, the scoreline read 42-8, effectively placing the game beyond ESU's reach.
In the third quarter, ESU attempted to find more rhythm in attack, managing 4 points, but Youth Club's relentless approach yielded another 11 points, stretching their advantage to 53-12.The final quarter followed a similar pattern, with Youth Club closing the game out in style, adding 12 points to ESU's 7 .
The match ended 65-19, with Youth Club showcasing both offensive firepower and defensive discipline throughout the four quarters.
The second match saw BDPA secure a hard-fought 32-24 victory over YWC Malom.
BDPA made a strong start, leading 16-4 after the first quarter.
Although YWC staged a spirited fightback in the latter stages, BDPA's early advantage proved decisive in sealing the win.
In the third fixture, CYLC edged past TDBA 33-27 in a closely contested battle.
Both sides were evenly matched in the opening quarter, tied at 8-8, but CYLC gradually pulled ahead in the second and third quarters before holding off a late TDBA push to clinch the result.
The day concluded with LMYVA producing a commanding display to defeat YOSC 49-19 .
LMYVA controlled the game from the tip-off, combining solid defence with efficient scoring.
Quarter scores of 10-6, 15-2, 10-9 and 14-2 reflected their consistent dominance.
