2nd National Senior Sarit-Sarak Federation Cup underway in Assam

Imphal, September 28 2025: The 2nd National Senior Sarit-Sarak Federation Cup got underway in Assam's Singhaduwar Manipuri Community Hall, Sivasagar under the aegis of the Sarit-Sarak F ederation of India.

The event was formally opened with a low key function in view of the mourning period dedicated to legendary Assamese artiste Zubeen Garg, said the Sarit-Sarak Federation of India in a press release.

Modhushmita Chetia Somokar, Zilla Parishad Member of Sivasagar; president of Sarit-Sarak Federation of India, N Jiban; federation's Grandmaster, L Lashamon and Councilor of Cherekapara Panchayat Sivasagar, Purobi Changmai Dihingiya attended the inaugural event as dignitaries, it said.

As many as 24 men and 17 women athletes from 7 States will be competing for top honours in the event, it said.
