MACS conducts Red Run 2025

Imphal, September 21 2025: Project Director, Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS), Shamim Ahmad Shah yesterday flagged off the Red Run event that featured 10 km run and 2 km run, from Kangla Western Gate.

Kh Zabed Hussain of Lilong Haoreibi College, Mutum Mukta Sing of Mayai Lambi College, Moirangthem Manaothoi Singh of Moirang College, Ringhorsem Muinao and Longjam Kalanjoy of Biramangol College secured the top five positions in 10 km run for men of the event.

Thounaojam Maria of Mayai Lambi College, Tayenjam Russia of Kamakhya Pemton College, Tongrbam Sophiya of S Kula Women's College.

Nishailet Ayekpam of DM University and Nongthombam Velentina of Biramangol College meanwhile made top five finish in the women's category.

Top two podium finishers in 10 km run in both the categories will be representing Manipur in the National Red Run Marathon to be organised by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society under the aegis of National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) New Delhi, said MACS in a press release.

In the 2 km open race for male Salam Mahen Singh, Arjit Meitei, Samom Manoubi Singha, Md Rahish Khan and Naorem Nokiyo sealed the top five positions as Neevia Laishram, Ayekpam Sai Chanu, Yumnam Babeysana Devi, Salam Charlei Devi and Damenti Sorokhaibam secured the top five positions respectively.
