1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament BLUE HAWK enjoy 64 runs victory over CRAU

Imphal, January 17 2018: BLUE HAWK, Khurai today enjoyed an overwhelming 64 runs victory in a group D league match of the 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament 2018 at Langthabal Public ground .

In yet another similar encounter, AL- AMEEN romped to a 58 runs victory over PCC, Mayaikoibi.

The tournament is organised by Langthabal Sporting Club, Langthabl under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association.

A total of 21 teams divided into 4 groups are competing in this tournament.

BLUE HAWK which won the toss and elected to bat first piled a huge target of 144 runs for 8 in 20 overs.

In reply, CRAU fell heavily down to just 79 runs for all wicket down in 19.4 overs.

Rahul Mazumdar who was highest run scorer and wicket taker engineered the easy win for the Khurai side.

He hit a total 47 runs today in 44 balls and took 3 wickets in 4 overs to emerge the man of the match.

His partner, Becker Roy scored 18 runs off 9 balls while L Ozzy made 15 runs in 11 balls and helped in constituting 143 runs.

Premjit and Milan of CRAU claimed two wickets in 4 overs while Manglem picked one wicket in 4 overs in the first inning.

Lacklustre, CRAU could not build any momentum in reply today as Rahul Mazumdar's bowling pace and length proved too fatal for them.

Eventually they ended their chase at 79 runs for 10 .

A Millan who scored 15 runs in 33 balls was the highest scorer for CRAU.

In the second match of the day, AL-AMEEN set a target of 117 runs for 7 in 20 overs which proved too far for PCC, Mayaikoibi.

S Rohit's four-wicket haul could not help PCC as their batting side failed considerably to chase the target in the second inning.

Akshay of PCC also picked two wickets.

S Majibur Rahman was highest scorer for AL-AMEEN as he struck 40 runs alone.

Sahjhan and Abdullah made 15 runs each while Rashid managed to score 10 runs in the first inning.

In response, PCC slumped to just 59 runs for 10 in 11 overs as Abdullah of AL AMEEN picked four wickets followed by man of the match Mujibur Rahman dismissing three.

Nasir and Sameer claimed 2 wickets and 1 wicket respectively in this inning.

S Rohit scored 8 runs and Premchand scored 13 runs in the second inning.

TRAU will play PTRC in a group A league match tomorrow at 9 am while YAC will face YWC (P) in another group A league match in the evening.
