NEINASANG pay tribute to Hijam Irabot on 129th birth anniversary

Imphal, September 30 2025: NEINASANG, Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai today observed the 129th birth anniversary of legendary social activist Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at Tera.

Poetry competition, song presentation, Thang-Ta salutation and floral tribute to Hijam Irabot were the main highlights of the observation programme, said NEINASANG in a press release.

The life and work of Hijam Irabot was an educationist, artiste, journalist, and social worker before becoming a political figure, were also recalled during the programme attended by local Meira Paibi group, students and eminent personalities, it said.
