28th Liangmai Sports Association Meet concludes

Dimapur, January 23 2026:
The 28th Liangmai Sports Association (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) LSA Meet, which commenced on January 7 concluded on January 21 at Samziuram village, Peren district, Nagaland.
The grand closing ceremony was graced by TR Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, as the special guest.
The men's volleyball final was played between Nchangram and Oklong Nguang.
Displaying outstanding performance, Nchangram secured a straight three-set victory in the best-of-five format to emerge as volleyball champions of the 2026 LSA Meet.
The men's football final was contested between SPO Samziuram (host team) and the defending champions, Chiang Youth Club.

After an intense 90 minutes that ended in a goalless draw, the match was decided through a penalty shootout, where SPO Samziuram emerged victorious with a 4-2 win.
History was created at Samziuram as SPO Samziuram achieved a remarkable double, with the women's team IP ring the football championship trophy and the men's team securing the football title.
Hundreds of spectators from across the three States of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and surrounding villages of Jalukie Valley gathered to witness the grand finale of the largest sporting event of the Liangmai community, marking a memorable conclusion to the 28th edition of the LSA Meet.
The Liangmai Sports Association, meanwhile, announced that the next LSA Meet will be held in 2029.The Liangmai Sports Association extended its heartiest gratitude to all participating teams, donors, sponsors, officials, volunteers, well-wishers, and especially the host village of Samziuram for their cooperation and support which contributed immensely to the successful conduct of die 28th edition of the LSA Meet.
