Imphal West clinch State Amateur Muay Thai Championship title

Imphal, July 14 2024: Imphal West were crowned team champions of the 11th MAMTA State Level Amateur Muay Thai Championship 2024 as the two-day competition drew to a close on Sunday.

The Imphal West athletes won 37 medals overall to clinch the championship title.

24 gold medals made up the majority of their medal collection, which also included nine silver and four bronze.

Soraisam Uttam Singh, S Pamjaba Meitei, S Yaisana Meitei, S Yaika Chanu, Wangkhem Silky Devi, L Rakesh Singh, Samom Melody Devi, Chingangbam Birju, Thoihenba Laishram, L Mangisana, Sh Hemjit Sharma secured gold medals for the Imphal West team on the closing day of the championship.

Imphal East finished runners-up with 10 gold and 10 silver medals while Bishnupur claimed two gold and two silver medals to take third place.
