158 Bn CRPF hosts 10 km run at Koutruk

Imphal, September 08 2026: The 158 Bn CRPF today hosted a 10-km run across Koutruk, Phumlou and Kadangband with the aim of encouraging a healthy, active and unity under the guidance of IG, CRPF Manipur and Nagaland Sector.

The run saw a healthy participation of 270 local male and female runners.

In the men's segment, Abujam Rajesh, Maharabam Mahesh and L Thembung made the podium finishes as Usham Bebi, Naorem Monika and Irungbam Sayata were the top three finishers in the women's segment.

The podium finishers in the men's segment were feted with Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively while the women toppers were feted with Rs 2,500; Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000 respectively alongside medals and certificates.

The battalion had also hosted a similar run at Leimakhong.

The day also saw 30 Bn CRPF, New Keithelmanbi conducting a similar run under "Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation" initiative at T Molbung in collaboration with Sports Authority of India within its Area of Responsibility.

Kamsing Japui, Lalminchon Haokip and Thosei Kipgen were the podium finishers in the run and were feted with a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively.
