ESU strikers Mandakini and Lalam Haokip help ESU beat YWC by 3-0.The initial minuets of the play were all about trying to control the ball possession to mount serious attacks to each other.

After crossing the half way mark of the first half the tempo of the match increases with strikers of both the teams tested the skills of the custodians.

Madakini provided the lead to ESU in the 31st min through a powerful low drive.

Lalam Hoakip consolidated the lead when she glides the ball past the YWC custodian in the 35th min for a 2-0 lead.

5 minutes before the final whistle Lalam Haokip secured the match in favour of ESU when she produced a goal from a close angle (75 min).

With the result ESU moves into the second spot the league table.

MPSC vs NYTHC .

League leader MPSC took the pitch to consolidate their lead and protect the reputation as one of the pre tournament favorites.

It may be recalled, MPSC teams posses players of the international stature like O Bembem and Ng Bala in their team.

Police team pocket the match by scoring in each half of the match.

MPSC starts the proceeding confidently and initiates numerous attacks.

MPSC strikes kept the NYTHC custodian busy for most part of the early period of the match.

In one such attack Ng Bala lapped on the defensive error of NYTHC and strikes the ball pass NYTHC custodian to take the lead in 16th minute for MPSC.

NYTHC did not lose their confidence after being one goal down and fought hard for the equalizer.

The experience defenders did not allow the effort of NYTHC strikers and blocked all attempts that are directed at the goalmouth.

At half time MPSC lead by the solitary goal from Ng Bala.

After the break, NYTHC fought hard for the elusive goal that will bring them into the match.

At the same time the NYTHC strikers were supported well by the defenders by not conceding any more goals.

O Bembem took the spot kick and successfully converted into a goal in the 80+2 min of the match.
