46th Senior State Handball : MPSC cruise to third straight victory in women's tournament

Imphal, May 12 2024: MPSC women's team notched up their third straight victory in the 46th Senior State Handball Tournaments being hosted by Mairenkhong Rising Club at its ground with a 17-8 beating of KKLYDO, Kongpal today.

MPSC having beaten YLK, Chingarel and IMC, Thoubal in previous matches rode on goals from Sunitibala (4), Bebina (3), Apabi (2), Sushila (2), Laxmi (2), Sandhyarani (1), Khomeiton (1) and Chaoba (1) .

Elizabeth (5), Gutasana (2) and Sonia (1) were on target for KKLYDO today.

Earlier in the day, ESU downed KKYLDO 18-10 riding on Sunitibala (5), Ranju (4), Inunganbi (4), Luxmi (2), Payal (2) and Sujata.

W Chaoba (5), H Elizabeth (4) and Th Sanathoibi (1) scored for the losing team.

In the men's Group A matches, MPSC secured their third straight victory by defeating NSU 30-20 before defeating SSC 21-12 for the fourth win on the trot; YWO, Singjamei defeated BBA by 24-18 goals and BBA by 24-18 goals.

In the Group B matches, KVWA Mayang Imphal also secured their third straight victory by defeating PC Top Khongnangmakhong 14-6 before beating OYO, Kongpal 28-6 for the fourth straight victory; CYDOL defeated PC 20-16 and IMC 28-22 .
