Bpr 1st Divn Football League : TYDA trounce Ishok FC 5-1 for third win on trot, WYC, UFC share spoils

Imphal, September 21 2025: TYDA, Toubul trounced Ishok FC 5-1 for their third Group A victory in the ongoing 1st Yumnam Manao Memorial 1st Division Football League-2025 as WYC, Yumnam Khunou played out a 1-1 draw with UFC, Bishnupur to snap the latter team's two game (Group A) winning streak.

TYDA, who had devastated BFA, Nachou 10-1 in the league opener before beating WYC 1-0 in their second match, carried forward their form to overwhelm Ishok FC today.

E Nipa put TYDA into the lead 14 minutes into the game before M Stevin Kom scored his second goal of the season in the 19th minute to make it 2-0 .

Kh Manglemba of Ishok FC, who had suffered two back to back losses, pulled back a goal in the 20th minute but S Deepson retained the two goal advantage for TYDA in the 24th minute.

After leading the first half 3-1, N Alex made it 4-1 for TYDA with a brilliant score in the 74th minute before S Kenish rounded off the scoring at the stroke of the 90th minute.

The match however turned violent at the fag end forcing the referee to give marching orders to TYDA's E Nipa and K Adison and W Malemnganba of Ishok FC in the first minute of the stoppage time.

Earlier in the day, Ph Gaunkinlung, who had been in red hot form, scored his 6th goal in three matches just 4 minutes into the game this afternoon at Mini Stadium Bishnupur to put UFC ahead.

WYC however drew level through N Suraj in the 11th minute to keep the competition open again.

Despite efforts to add to their tally, the scoreline remained unchanged till the final whistle and eventually the two sides ended up splitting a point apiece.

Notably, UFC had thrashed Ishok FC 5-1 in their group opener before overwhelming BFA, Nachou by 7-1 goals in their second encounter.

Meanwhile, WYC suffered a 0-1 loss to TYDA in their league opener before beating Ishok FC 2-0 in the second outing.

As many as 9 teams clubbed into two groups are taking part in the 2nd tier district league tournament organised by District Sports Association, Bishnupur.
