33rd State Taekwondo Championship : UTA emerge overall team champions

Union Taekwondo Academy (UTA), Yumnam Leikai were crowned overall team champions of the 33 rd State Taekwondo Championship organised by the All Manipur Taekwondo Association at Khuman Lampak Indoor Hall.
UTA amassed as many as 5435 points off 24 gold, 28 silver and 40 bronze medals to seal the overall team title as Pakhangba Taekwondo Academy, Thingom Leikai finished overall runners up on 2638 points off 15 gold, 6 silver and 18 bronze medals and National Sports Academy (NSA) finished overall second runners up on 2212 points courtesy of 13 points, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals.
In the four-day State level event, UTA emerged sub-junior girls team champions with 6 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals (1219 pts) as PT A finished runners up with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals (659 pts).
Meanwhile, PTA won 6 gold and 6 bronze medals (908 pts) to seal the sub-junior team champions title and UTA finished runners up with 1 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals (532 pts).
LTA in the meantime sealed the cadet boys team champions title amassing 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals (574 pts) as SAI finished runners up with 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals (458 pts).
Cadet girls team crown went to UTA, who added 1 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals to amass 493 pts as NSA finished runners up on 348 pts off 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
NSA pocketed both the junior boys and girls team titles in the championship with boys winning 1 gold 2 silver and 7 bronze medals to gather 658 points and girls picking up 7 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals to amass 1070 points.
UTA boys who amassed 1 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze medals to collect 408 points and girls who fetched 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals to gather 344 points finished runners up in both the categories.
UTA, meanwhile claimed both the senior men (6 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals-937 pts) and women's team (7 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals- 1151 pts) champions titles as PTA men's team (1 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze-271 points) and women's team (1 gold and 1 silver-142 points) finished team runners ups.
