15th National Vovinam C'ship : State team return with haul of 16 medals including 8 gold

Imphal, September 08 2026: Manipur Vovinam team returned with a rich haul of 8 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals from the 15th National Vovinam Championship that was hosted in Jammu from September 3 to 6 .

S Alex (+56 kg), Th Nongsaba (-52 kg), S Malemnganbi (-48 kg) and H Debajani (-56 kg) won gold medals in the sub-junior boys and girls' fight events as Warisha (-56 kg) bagged a senior girls' fight gold.

Regan Loishambam (-58 kg) meanwhile bagged a gold medal in the junior performance section as H Thouba, S Alex, N Lemba and Th Nongsaba won a gold in the sub-junior performance (singles against 3 males with weapons) and L regan, Warisha, L Yaiphaba and Th Chingkheinganba won senior performance (single against 3 males with weapons) .

The other medallists include H Thouba (-35 kg : bronze) N Lemba (-44 kg : silver), Julekha Dolaipabam (-36 kg : Bronze), Sohana Makak (-40 kg: bronze) and N Dolllia (-52 kg : bronze) in the sub-junior boys and girls' fight event; S Alex, Th Nongsaba, Sohana Makak and Shrinivash (Sub-Junior Performance : bronze); Th Chingkheinganba (junior performance : -73 kg : silver) and B Nishita (-44 kg : silver in senior girls' fight) .
