Senapati Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, IAS, who is also the chairman of SPANDAN, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Sub-Deputy Collector Ngaonii Panii and Senapati District Badminton Association (SDBA) president Heshu Choro attended as special guests.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the winners and praised all participants for their strategic discipline, perseverance, and sporting spirit.
Highlighting that Senapati possesses immense raw athletic potential, he noted that many talented youths from remote villages still lack adequate exposure and modern training facilities.
He urged the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, alongside community stakeholders, to extend initiatives like Khelo India and school-level sports programmes to every village to ensure hidden talents are identified and nurtured early.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of cash prizes, trophies, medals, and certificates to the competitors.
In the tournament results, Saziinai Ruth and P Khuhriine secured the champion and runner-up positions, respectively, in both the Girls' Under-15 and Under-19 categories.
In the Boys' Under-15 division, Wimathonbou Z Newmai emerged as the champion, while Shelley Pouzhovei secured the runner-up position.
The Boys' Under-19 championship title was clinched by Kalo Truman, with Lungbi Eugene finishing as the runner-up.
