Imphal, September 30 2024: PATHAP FC emerged champions of the L Memcha Devi Memorial Super Division Football League 2024 organised by the District Football Association Thoubal.

PATHAP FC and YDC, Khoirom secured 6 wins each in the 8-team tournament but PATHAP FC enjoyed better goal difference (12 against YDC's 11) to finish on top of the table.

ASSA, Sangaiyumpham finished third on 12 points off 4 wins.

PATHAP FC closed their campaign with a 6-0 win over WYFC, Wangjing today at RYDO ground, Charangpat thanks to a treble from Warish.

Wari scored a freak first minute goal to surprise WYFC before Manjur doubled the advantage in the 9th minute.

Warish scored his second goal in the 16th minute to make it 3-0 before completing his treble in the 38th minute.

The scoring spree continued with P Golmei scoring the team's fifth in the 45th minute before Md Arish Khan rounded off the scoring in the 52nd minute.

Later in the day, HKKSA, Haokha Kiyam romped 4-0 past SYDA, Athokpam in a very one sided encounter.

HKKSA rode on goals from Dilbarg (14'), S Lenin (21') and Md Hanif (28') to enter into the break with a commanding 3-0 advantage before Langam hit the decisive goal at the stroke of the hour mark.

In the final league match of the tournament, YDC, Khoirom edged past ASSA, Sangaiyumpham 2-1 .

Kh Birjit (3') and H Benjamin (19') were on target for the Khoirom side as Md Akhan scored the only goal for ASSA in the 5th minute of the game.
