State Level Men's Village Open Football : Koirengei FC, Brighter Club post huge wins

Koirengei FC thrashed SYDC, Khonghampat by 5-1 goals while Brighter Club, Awang Potsangbam Khullen drubbed MLYLC, Mayang Langjing by 4-2 margins in today's Group B league matches of the 13 th State Level 11 Men's Village Open Football Tournament 2018 being organised by Brighter Club, Awang Potsangbam Khullen at its playground.
The first Group B league match of the day saw, Koirengei FC continue their winning streak by punishing the Khonghampat side 5-1.Premkumar opened up early in the 9th minute to give SYDC a hopeful start but the Koirengei side ran riot in the latter part of the game to pump in 5 goals and sealed a 5-1 win.
The leveller came up in the 14th minute through Momocha before Khellemba handed Koirengei FC a 2-1 lead in the 19th minute of the match.
Sinky of Koirengei FC then took control of the game and made it 3-1 five minutes latter Khellemba's goal.
Thomas then extended the lead to 4-1 when he found a nice pass and dodged past few defenders inside the box before cracking a powerful shot in the 37th minute.
They sat down for a while toying around defence line of hapless SYDC until Roshan wrapped up the game 5-1 with his fine shot in the 59th minute.
In the second match of the day, L Abung hit a hattrick to give Brighter Club a dominating 4-2 win over MLYLC.
Both teams started the game marking well over one another until L Abung found the breakthrough in the 13th minute when he ran deep into the MLYLC's box and placed the ball well into the net.
N Romen of the Mayang Langjing side, however, drew level in the 20th minute.
But to their disappointment, Abung came up with another rasping shot in the 29th minute and handed his team a 2-1 lead till first half.
Ng Naoba of Brighter Club also made his way for a fine attack in the 45th minute and succeeded in slotting home the ball to make it 3-1 against the nervy Mayang Langjing side before L Abung completed his hattrick in the 56th minute to extend the lead to 4-1 .
The last few minutes of the game saw MLYLC pushed hard to reduce the deficit and it was in the 59th minute that Th Jenin grabbed a consolation goal and settled the game 2-4 .
KKGP, Kairang will meet KLSC Khabam tomorrow in the first match while Maharabi FC will face NYC, Nilakuthi in the second match.
