MSL: United Brothers FC, SSIOBFC script easy victories

Imphal, April 01 2025: United Brothers FC overpowered NEROCA FC as Sainik School Imphal Old Boys' Football Club outplayed FC Lamjao in the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, on Tuesday.

United Brothers FC's triumph was spearheaded by braces from Thanpam Tungshang and Warchief Chilhang, capping off a commanding display.

Khangampam Zimik opened the scoring in the 15th minute, before Tungshang doubled the lead in the 23rd minute.

NEROCA FC pulled one back just before halftime, with Newton Yanglem finding the net in the 45+3rd minute.

After the break, Worchui-pei Kashung restored United Brothers' two-goal advantage in the 53rd minute, followed by Chilhang's quickfire double in the 76th and 83rd minutes.

Themchui RS added a sixth in the 89th minute, before Md Sahinur netted a late consolation for NEROCA in the 90+lst minute.

Tungshang then completed the rout with his second goal in the 90+3rd minute, sealing an emphatic victory.

In the other fixture, Sainik School Imphal Old Boys' Football Club overcame FC Lamjao 3-1 .

Khomdram Radhakanta Singh gave them an early lead in the 9th minute, which was extended by Jetlee Bura Gohain in the 26th minute.

Thokchom Yaiphaba reduced the deficit for FC Lamjao in the 62nd minute, but Gohain struck again in the 86th minute to ensure all three points for his side.
