MABA set to hold trials for boxing nationals on April 12

Imphal, April 05 2025: Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) will conduct selection trials for the 7th Youth (U-19) Men & Women National Boxing Championships on April 12, 2025 at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena, Imphal.

The selected athletes will represent the state at the forthcoming National Championships, scheduled to take place from April 21 to 27, 2025, at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

As part of the selection process, the weigh-in will be held on April 11, 2025, at 3 pm.

All participants are required to report on time and submit the related documents for verification to the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association.

Boxers eligible to participate must be born between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2008, and will compete in one of the following weight categories: 47-50kg, 50-55kg, 55-60kg, 60-65kg, 65-70kg, 70-75kg, 75-80kg, 80-85kg, 85-90kg, and over 90kg .

MABA has also urged district boxing associations to circulate this information (selection trials) among their affiliated boxers and coaching staff to ensure broad participation.
