Imphal, April 01 2025: Imphal Riding Club secured a hard-fought 7-6 victory over the Assam Rifles Women's Polo Team in a closely contested final of the 3rd Chittamohini State Women's Cup 2025 at Mapal Kangjeibung on Monday.

The opening chukker set the tone for an evenly matched encounter, with both sides locked at 3-3 .

Imphal Riding Club's goals came from Kh Habe, M Priya, and Kh Deventy, while Veronica Oinam struck twice and Mutum Enourembi added another for Assam Rifles.

The deadlock persisted in the second chukker as Priya netted her second for IRC, matched by Enourembi's second goal for Assam Rifles, leaving the scoreline 4-4 at the break.

Imphal Riding Club gained a slender advantage in the third chukker, with Th Tan-na and Habe (her second of the match) finding the mark, while Victoria Oinam kept Assam Rifles in contention with their fifth goal.

IRC sealed the win in the final stages as Tanna struck again, taking her tally to two.

Despite Enourembi completing her hat-trick for Assam Rifles, it proved too late to alter the outcome, with Imphal Riding Club emerging 7-6 winners in a gripping finale.
