AR's Basu wins gold at Sr National Karate C'ship

Imphal, April 05 2025: Rifleman Basu Khare of 1 Assam Rifles, representing the Director General Assam Rifles (DGAR) team, secured the gold medal at the Senior National Karate Championship held in Hyderabad.

This commendable achievement has earned him a place on the Indian Karate team, marking a momentous milestone for Basu Khare himself and the Assam Rifles.

Rifleman Basu's journey to this prestigious win was marked by dauntless dedication, disciplined training, and rigorous preparation.

Through structured coaching and intensive training routine at Assam Rifles Training School & Centre, he demonstrated exceptional skill ultimately earning the top honour in the championship, according to a press release from PRO IGAR (S) .
