AKSDO, PTRC, PTCC, KSDO victorious in 2nd MNCA Men's HBS U-23 Trophy

AKSDO delivered a masterclass performance to thrash BLUE HAWK by a staggering 180 runs in a one-sided affair the 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy at Public Ground, Khangabok, on Tuesday.
AKSDO produced superiority in all departments, leaving their opponents thoroughly outplayed.
Winning the toss, BLUE HAWK elected to held first, a decision they would soon regret as AKSDO's batsmen unleashed a relentless assault.
After being sent in to bat first, AKSDO posted an imposing 310/7 from their 40 overs, built around captain Akash Laishrams explosive 75 off 57 balls (11 fours, 3 sixes) and Laishram Samson Meetei s rapid 53 off 38 deliveries.
Borish Khudrakpam provided stability with an unbeaten 42, while late cameos from Sanayai Ningthoujam (34) and Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei (30 off just 16 balls) propelled the total beyond 300.BLUE HAWK's bowlers toiled without reward, with only Nandakishor (2/40) and captain Samsung Meitei Heisnam (2/60) managing multiple wickets.
The rest of the attack leaked runs at an alarming rate, particularly Akojjam Dhitaraj 10/37 in 3 overs) and Nitish (0/30 in 3 overs), who struggled with their line and length.
In response, BLUE HAWK's chase never gained momentum as they collapsed to 130 all out in just 30.4 overs, with only Nitish (31) and Nong-damba Khunjamayum (26) offering any meaningful resistance.
AKSDO's bowlers shared the spoils, with Sanayai Ningthoijam (3/21) the pick of the attack, well supported by captain Akash Laishram (2/32) and Rohit Laishram (2/33) .
PTRC thrashed FORCE by 8 wickets in their encounter at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
PTRC chase down a modest target with ease, showcasing stellar performances from their batsmen and bowlers.
FORCE, opting to bat after winning the toss, were bowled out for 129 in 26.4 overs.
Their innings faltered early, with only Juma Khan offering resistance, scoring a brisk 51 off 47 balls.
PTRCs bowlers, led by captain Tamarland Pheiroijam (3/18) and Henba Paonam (2/25), kept the pressure on, dismantling FORCE's batting lineup.
In reply, PTRC reached the target comfortably in 21.4 overs, finishing at 130/2.Ngambarel Naoshekpam starred with an unbeaten 67 off 69 balls, supported by Salam Richie (30 off 29) .
FORCE's bowlers struggled to contain the chase, with only Md Akaman (1/27) and Zahid Sheikh (1/22) managing breakthroughs.
Elsewhere, PTCC secured a comfortable 5-wicket victory against YPHUC.
YPHUC, opting to bat first, were bowled out for a modest 80 in 21.5 overs, with Loukrakpam Anao Singh starring for PTCC, claiming 5 wickets for just 19 runs.
PTCC chased down the target in 17.3 overs, finishing at 81/5 .
Irom Sunny Singh top-scored with 31 for YPHUC, while PTCC's Somobanta contributed a steady 21 .
Meanwhile, KSDO emerged victorious by 26 runs in a closely contested match against SHADOW.
Batting first, KSDO posted 178 all out, thanks to Mohammed Gunbas (47) and Md Arif Khan (46) .
SHADOW'S chase fell short at 152, despite Arubam Goshan Singh's resilient 44*.Yendrembam Bharatngamba Meitei (3/21) and Khutheibam Abu Suliyan (3/36) were instrumental with the ball for KSDO .
