State Wrestling C'ship to take place in Senapati

Imphal, April 04 2025: The Manipur State Level Open Wrestling Championship 2025 is set to take place at the Senapati district headquarters from April 29 to May 2, 2025 .

Organised by Senapati District Wrestling Association, Manipur (SDWAM), the event will feature competitions across four categories: above 70 kg and below 70 kg in the open category, as well as age group categories for 14-15 years and 16-17 years.

In this regard, SDWAM has invited young wrestlers from across Manipur to participate in this prestigious event.

Winners in the open categories - above and below 70 kg - will each receive a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 70,000 .

Semifinalists in these categories will also receive consolation prizes, including cash awards, certificates, and medals.

For the age group categories (14-15 years and 16-17 years), the champions will be awarded Rs 30,000 each, with the runners-up receiving Rs 20,000 .

Similarly, semifinalists in these divisions will receive consolation prizes comprising cash awards, certificates, and medals.
