Samaram Trophy: Legend FC Manipur Police defeat Subhan FC

Thoubal, April 10 2025: Legend FC Manipur Police registered a narrow 3-2 win over Subhan FC Ngarian in the opening match of the 3rd State Level Open Football Tournament Samaram Trophy 2025 at Samaram playground on Thursday.

G Golmei opened the scoring for Legend FC in the 2nd minute and Ch Akash doubled the lead in the 19th minute before Md Tawa Khan reduced the deficit for Subhan FC in the 24th minute.

However, L Enil restored Legend FC's two-goal advantage in the 25th minute as Subhan FC responded through Md Sohail who netted their second goal just before the halftime whistle.

After the break, Legend FC held on to secure a hard-fought victory.

The opening ceremony was attended by Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar, ABCEDO Samaram secretary Khangembam Tompok and CMO Thoubal Yengkhom Nokul as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
