FORCE, AKSDO win in Sr Women's One Day Trophy

Imphal, March 10 2025: In league matches of the 8th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy played on Monday, FORCE, Kshetrigao and AKSDQ, Khangabok registered comprehensive victories over their respective opponents.

At THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, FORCE thrashed SHADOW, Thangmeiband by five wickets.

Put to bat, SHADOW scored 126 all out in 23.3 overs with Kebriay Sapam (46 runs) being highest scorer, as the FORCE bowlers led by Farjiya, Nazmin and Sadiya (four wickets each) supported by Rahamatun, Rukhsad and Nagama (one wicket apiece) never allowed them to settle down.

In reply, Rahamatun (37 runs) and Sumeiya (23 runs) guided the team to complete the run chase in 29.2 overs for the loss of five wickets.

On the other hand, all-round performance by Daina Moirangthem (two wickets and 27 runs) ensured AKSDO's nine-wicket victory over Al-Ameen, Lilong.

Batting first, Al-Ameen were bundled out for paltry 91 runs in 32 overs as captain Najiya Begum (33 not out) ran out of partners under the fierce bowling attack of AKSDO spearheaded by Rabina Khundrakpam and Lucyrani Khundrakpam (three wickets each) as Daina, Thokchom Langlen Chanu and Henthoisana Takhellambam accounted for one wicket each.

Captain Taniya Ningthoujam (33 runs) and Daina than made light work of the chase in 12 overs.
