REYS, CHAMP prevail in dominant styles, AMCA squeeze past YPHUC

REYS and CHAMP scored dominant wins, while AMCA also claimed victory in Saturday's MNCA Men's U-23 Trophy action.
REYS produced an allround performance to thrash KSDO by 8 wickets in their encounter at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
REYS' bowlers strangled KSDO's batting lineup before their top-order batters chased down the target with ruthless efficiency.
KSDO's decision to bat first backfired spectacularly as their innings never gained momentum.
Openers Md Arif Khan (25 off 57) and Khuthei-bam Abu Sufiyan (30 off 26) provided a steady start, but the middle order crumbled under pressure.
Captain Md Shah Jahan (3 off 8) fell cheaply, triggering a collapse that saw KSDO lose 9 wickets for just 80 runs.
The lower order offered little resistance, with only Md Washim (21 off 18) showing some fight.
REYS' bowlers exploited the conditions brilliantly, with Naoshekpam Manglemba Meetei (4/18 in 6.5 overs) emerging as the destroyer-in-chief.
His disciplined line and length, combined with sharp variations, dismantled KSDO's lower middle order.
Ringku Kangujam (3/34) and captain Sapam Bikash Singh (2/31) provided excellent support, ensuring KSDO were bundled out for 130 in 33.5 overs.
In reply, REYS' openers came out all guns blazing.
Yungkham Romario Roy (37 off 29) set the tone with a blistering knock, peppering the boundary with 3 fours and 2 sixes.
His aggressive approach put KSDO's bowlers on the back foot early, and the required run rate never climbed above 4.After Roy's dismissal, captain Sapam Bikash Singh (48*off 55) anchored the innings with calm authority, rotating the strike and punishing loose deliveries.
Naoshekpam Manglemba Meetei (30*off 26), fresh from his bowling heroics, joined the party with a fluent cameo to seal the victory in style.
KSDO's bowlers struggled for consistency, with only captain Md Shah Jahan (2/60) managing to pick up wickets, albeit at a high economy rate.
CHAMP Cricket Club triumphed over SHADOW by 5 wickets at Khudelband Lampak.
CHAMP chased down SHADOW's target of 161 with ease, finishing at 161/5 in just 20.1 overs.
SHADOW, opting to bat first, were bowled out for 160 in 37.4 overs.
Captain Sagatnam Lanchenba top-scored with a patient 51 off 72 balls, supported by Yendrembam Bharatngamba Meitei (28) and Arubam Goshan Singh (24) .
However, CHAMP's bowlers, led by Md Babu (3/23) and Afjal Khan (3/26), kept the scoring in check.
In reply, CHAMP's openers Samir (31 off 22) and Afjal Khan (38 off 31) set a blistering pace, putting on 55 for the first wicket.
Despite losing quick wickets, Ritz Potshangbam (23*) guided the team home with an unbeaten knock.
Chinglemba Haobam (3/42) and Yendrembam Bharatn-gamba Meitei (2/23) were the key bowlers for SHADOW, but their efforts fell short.
Elsewhere, AMCA defeated YPHUC by a solitary wicket.
YPHUC won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 135 runs in 33.4 overs.
Their innings was anchored by Iron Ishor (36 off 53 balls) and Iron Sunny Singh (32 off 23 balls), who provided some resistance against a disciplined AMCA bowling attack.
However, Moichingmayum Md Yakin (4/14 in 8 overs) and Hanif (3/23 in 8 overs) wreaked havoc, restricting YPHUC to a modest total.
In reply, AMCA faced early setbacks but were steadied by Khulakpam Fariyaz Khan (38 off 51 balls) and Md Sarif (25 off 34 balls).
The match took a dramatic turn when Konsam Mangal Singh (6/34 in 8 overs) ripped through AMCA's middle order, leaving them reeling at 123/9.However, a composed unbeaten 23 off just 16 balls from Moichingmayum Mohammad Anash saw AMCA over the line in the 26th over, securing a thrilling one-wicket win.
