TCMDC, CRAU, SCCC, AL-AMEEN secure easy wins in 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Trophy

TCMDC, CRAU, SCCC and AL-AMEEN made light work of their respective opponents in Saturday's fixtures of the 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy.
TCMDC delivered a clinical performance to thrash THAU by 9 wickets a one-sided affair at Public Ground, Khangabok.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, THAU were bundled out for a modest 133 in 33.5 overs.
Their innings never gained momentum, with only Kh Romesh Singh (40 off 39 balls) offering resistance.
Kongbraliatpam Kalyan Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for TCMDC, claiming 3 wickets for just 21 runs, while Laishram Vivekananda Singh chipped in with two crucial scalps.
Rain Urikh-imbam also contributed with two wickets, with N Arbin Singh and Vishonath Laishram adding one each.
In reply, TCMDC made light work of the target, racing to 137/1 in just 14.5 overs.
Openers Kongbraliatpam Kalyan Sharma (58 off 35 balls) and Waikhom Mathoi Meitei (62* off 53 balls) tore into the THAU bowling attack, with Kalyan striking at a blistering 165.71.Vivekananda Singh (10* off 2 balls) sealed the victory in style, hitting a six to cap off a dominant display.
CRAU, meanwhile, overpowered AMCA by 160 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.
CRAU's innings was anchored by a stellar knock from Heishnam Joyhenba Meitei, who top-scored with 62 runs off 66 balls, including 7 boundaries.
He was well-supported by Ph Jodash (43 off 34) and Azhar (37 off 47), as the team posted a formidable total of 260.For AMCA, Thoubalmayum Mustakim was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets for 49 runs, while Maibam Anish chipped in with 3 wickets.
CRAU's bowlers dismantled AMCA's batting line-up with ease.
Khumanthem Prakash Singh was the star, taking 4 wickets for just 16 runs in his 8 overs, maintaining an exceptional economy rate of 2.00 .
Bm Sabakhan also impressed with 3 wickets for 19 runs.
AMCA's batsmen struggled throughout, with only Moichingmayum Mohammad Anash (20) and Hanif (17) reaching double figures.
The team was bowled out for a meagre 100, handing CRAU a resounding victory.
At Oriental College Ground, SCCC outclassed TRAU by 127 runs.
SCCC won the toss and elected to bat, posting a formidable total of 314/9 in their allotted 40 overs.
TRAU, in response, were bowled out for 187 in 37.4 overs, falling well short of the target.
Ulenyai Khwairakpam smashed a breathtaking 176 runs off just 90 balls, including 30 fours and 2 sixes.
His explosive innings laid the foundation for SCCC's massive total.
Supporting contributions came from Khaidem Joyraj Meitei (42) and Lishan Meitei Khaidem (39), who bolstered the score.
On the bowling front, Lishan Meitei Khaidem was exceptional, claiming 4/30 in 6.4 overs, while Basant and Rex Waikhom also chipped in with crucial wickets.
For TRAU, Mutum Swabhiman fought valiantly with a gritty 99 off 116 balls, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.
Earlier, their bowlers, led by Preethson Arubam (4/64), tried to contain SCCC but proved expensive.
TRAU's chase faltered early as they lost wickets at regular intervals.
Despite Swabhi-man's resistance, the middle order collapsed under pressure from SCCC's disciplined bowling attack.
Elsewhere, AL-AMEEN secured a 41-run victory against CHAMP Cricket Club.
Opting to bat first, AL-AMEEN posted a competitive total of 233 in 37.1 overs, thanks to standout performances from Boboicha Singh Thokchom (59 off37 balls) and Md Sharoz Khan (58 off 67) .
CHAMP's Nawaz shone with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 33 runs.
In reply, CHAMP were bowled out for 192 in 35.5 overs despite a valiant 83 from Samir and a brisk 56 by Nawaz.
AL-AMEEN's bowlers, led by Shohel Akter (3/40) and Khulakpam Hanif (3/33), sealed the win.
