YPHUC and FORCE registered contrasting victories in Sunday's matches of the 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy 2024-25.YPHUC secured a commanding 7-wicket victory against AL-AMEEN in their meeting at THAU Ground.
YPHUC won the toss and elected to field, a decision that paid dividends as they restricted AL-AMEEN to a modest 107 all out in just 22.1 overs.
The chase was clinical, with YPHUC reaching the target in 19.4 overs for the loss of only three wickets.
AL-AMEEN's innings never gained momentum, with only Linthoi Khulem (19 off 34) and captain Najiya Begum (13 off 6) offering brief resistance.
The YPHUC bowlers dominated, led by captain Tongbram Nilky Devi (3/19) and Loktongbam Terina Devi (3/25), who shared six wickets between them.
Extras (44) were the second-highest contributor to AL-A MEEN's total, highlighting their batting woes.
YPHUC's reply was anchored by a composed (32* off 34 balls) from skipper Tongb ram Nilky Devi, who also scarred with the ball.

AL-AMEEN's bowlers, despite early breakthroughs, struggled to contain the flow of runs, with Sanjida (1/21) and Najiya Begum (1/17) being the pick of the attack.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, FORCE posted a modest total of 121/9 in their allotted 30 overs, thanks largely to a stellar knock of 68 runs off 75 balls by Neha.
Her innings, which included seven boundaries, anchored the innings amidst a flurry of wickets.
SHADOW's captain Priyanshee Hanglem led from the front with a sensational bowling performance, claiming five wickets for just 19 runs in her six overs.
Her efforts restricted FORCE to a seemingly chaseable target.
However, SHADOW faltered in their reply, bowled out for 103 in 23.2 overs.
Kebriya Devi Sapam top-scored with a valiant 47, but the team crumbled under the pressure of FORCE's disciplined bowling attack.
Neha, the star with the bat, also shone with the ball, taking three crucial wickets for nine runs in just 2.2 overs.
Barkatun Khanam contributed with two wickets, while Priyanshee Hanglem's all-round heroics went in vain as her side fell short.
