2nd Mema Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket : NAPSA, LCCC end league campaign with three victories each

Imphal, April 01 2025: NAPSA, Kha Imphal and LCCC, Lilong Chajing capped their league campaign with three victories and go top of Group D and A table respectively in the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Devi Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In their final Group D match that began this morning, NAPSA who had suffered their first game loss to ESU sealed their third victory by handing BKCC, Bamon Kampu a 61-run defeat at Langthabal Public Ground.

Put in to bat first, NAPSA gathered 170 for 4 wickets thanks to leading performances from Th Bhogendro 63 off 34, Chungkham Somorendro 42 off 37 and L Premananda 25 not out and bowled out BKCC for 109 runs in 19.5 overs thanks to Robert (3/18 in 2.5 overs), T Gopal (2/18), Ratan (2/16) and T Bhogendro (2/17) .

For BKCC, T Lenin (2/34), Bocha (1/34) and K Sushil (1/15) were among the wickets in the first innings before they slumped to 109 all out despite major contributions from K Sushil 24 off 12 and L Johnson 17 off 29 .

T Bhogendro was eventually adjudged man of the match.

In the Group A match staged later, LCCC beat BSC, Brahmapur Sangai Chuthek by 45 runs for the third win in four matches.

Put in to bat first, LCCC racked up 198/4 thanks to S Rigen's 43-ball 83 and W Srinivas unbeaten 55 off 43 balls and restricted BSC to 153 for 8 riding on exemplary bowling performances from Rigen (3/42), S Kison (2/22), S Ashok (1/17), N Shibadatta (1/42) and Amarjit (1/23) .
