Imphal, October 09 2024: An executive meeting of Manipur Armwrestling Association (MAA) held at Educational Guide Centre (EGC), Singjamei on Tuesday decided to organise district level arm-wrestling championship for Bishnupur, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching and Imphal West.

In a release, MAA informed that the district level championship for Bishnupur will be held on October 26 and 27 at Ngangkha Leima Youth Development Organisation (NYDO) hall, Moirang (contact number-9856365387/8669093780); Imphal East on November 8 and 9 at UYO hall, Singjamei Thongkhong (contact number-9856700986/9856614739); Thoubal and Kakching on November 16 and 17 at Khongjom (contact number-9615946735); and Imphal West on November 23 and 24 at TYC hall, Sega Road.

Winners of the district level championship will compete in the state championship to be held from December 12 to 15, it added.

MAA also informed that a referees' clinic will be conducted on October 12 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at EGC, Singjamei.

Only those who attend the said clinic will be considered for granting recognition as referee to conducted sanctioned tournament, it stated.
