KDOA celebrates 3rd Foundation Day

Kakching, August 08 2025: The Kakching District Olympic Association (KDOA) celebrated its third Foundation Day at Wabagai Awang Leikai Community Hall on Thursday.

Additional district magistrate of Kakching, Pangambam Shantikumar, graced the occasion as chief guest, while KDOA president Kshetrimayum Dharmadas presided over the function.

Among the dignitaries present were Elangbam Surendrajit, chairperson of Kakching Zilla Parishad Administrative Committee; Salam Dhanabir Luwang, member of Keirak Wabagai Zilla Parishad Administrative Committee; Maibam Nabachandra, chairperson of Wabagai Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee; Elangbam Shanti Leima, chairperson of Keirak Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee; and KDOA advisor Moirangthem Chandrashekhar.

The celebration honoured 85 sportspersons, coaches, and judges/referees from Kakching district who have excelled at international, national, and state levels in various disciplines, including archery, badminton, boxing, fencing, football, Sepaktakraw, table tennis, wushu, and yogasana.

Each was presented with a gift in recognition of their achievements.
