Al-Ameen, RCA cruise in MNCA Men's U-23 Trophy

Al-Ameen and RCA registered dominant victories in the 2nd MNCA Mens U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 on Saturday.
Al-Ameen outplayed KASC by 53 runs in their encounter at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.
Put in to bat, Al-Ameen posted a competitive 220 before being bowled out in 37.5 overs.
Key contributions came from Mohd Sagir Ahamed (43), Md Karim (30), Shohel Akter (30), Mohammed Farooque (20), and Imanur (20).For KASC, Bm Afsar and Kh Sohail Khan were the pick of the bowlers, each claiming two wickets.
In response, KASC struggled to build momentum and managed only 167/5 in their allotted 40 overs.
Despite an unbeaten 51 from Md Rahis Khan and a steady 27 not out from Md Abdulgani, the team fell short.
Al-Ameen's bowling unit delivered a disciplined performance, with Md Karim taking two wickets, while Shohel Akter and Sagir Ahamed chipped in with one each.
Meanwhile, RCA cruised to an emphatic eight-wicket victory over CRAU at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III, Cherapur.
Batting first, CRAU were dismissed for 152 in 30.2 overs, with Thongam Joy-chandra (36) and Sanatom-ba K (33) offering the main resistance.
RCA's bowlers dominated proceedings, led by Zamir Khan's impressive four-wicket haul.
Aziz Mirza provided strong support with three wickets, while Illiyas, Danish Khan, and Zuned claimed one apiece.
Chasing 153, RCA reached their target comfortably in 24.3 overs, losing just two wickets.
Syed Hussain anchored the innings with a well-compiled 53, while Md Alfash (36) and Imran Khan (29) provided valuable contributions.
Zamir Khan remained unbeaten on 8 as RCA wrapped up a clinical win.
