MSL: Tejkumar nets five as AFC steamroll NEROCA 7-1

Imphal, April 06 2025: Wahengbam Tejkumar Meitei served up a sensational five-goal salvo as AFC laughed their way to an emphatic 7-1 victory over NEROCA FC in Sunday's 17th Manipur State League clash at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Following a tightly contest ed opening, Tejkumar bro ke the deadlock in the 32nd minute before adding two more in quick succession, netting; again in the 36th and 40th minutes to complete a first-half hat-trick.

NEROCA regrouped after the interval, managing to resist AFC's attacking waves for much of the second half.

However, M Atique Shah extended the lead to 4-0 in the 74th minute, only for Md Sahinur to pull one back for NEROCA two minutes later.

Any hopes of a comeback were swiftly extinguished as Imtiyash restored AFC's four-goal advantage in the 82nd minute.

Tejkumar then took centre stage once more, capping off a remarkable individual display with two late strikes in the 88th and 90th minutes to secure all three points for his side with relative ease.
