WYFC outclass YFC 4-1 in Thoubal Super Division League

Thoubal, May 19 2024: L Memcha Devi Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament 2024-25, organised by District Football Association (DEA), Thoubal, kicked off at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing on Sunday.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by DYASO Thoubal Deven Moirangthem, DFA Thoubal president M Mani Singh, vice president Ch Iboyaima Singh, vice president L Shyamo Singh, vice president K Michael Singh, general secretary M Madhusudon Singh and Thoubal District Badminton Association president H Info Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

In the opening match, WYFC Wangjing defeated Yairipok FC 4-1.The goals for WYFC were scored by Dingkal in the 29the minute, Nepolian in the 64th and 72nd minutes, and Anil in the 80+lst minute.

Yairipok FC scored their only goal in the 36th minute through N Bikram.

On Monday, DUC Charangpat will take on YDC Yairipok Khoirom while HKKSA Thoubal Haokha Kiyam will face Pathap Lilong.

Eight teams are competing in the tournament.
