Black Watch PC and Thangmeiband Youth PC enjoyed emphatic wins, while Universal PC-A eked out win in Saturday's fixtures of the 37th N Hazari & Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2025.Th Nongpoknganba emerged as the standout performer, propelling Black Watch PC to a resounding 13-4 triumph over MPSC-C with a dazzling seven-goal salvo.
The opening chukker set the tone as Black Watch unleashed a relentless offensive, storming to a 5-0 lead with Nongpoknganba netting four goals and P Ojit adding another.
The second chukker saw Black Watch intensify their assault, as Ojit, S Bon Bon, and Nongpoknganba struck thrice, while MP-SC's M Devanath managed a lone reply.
Nongpoknganba's sixth goal in the third chukker further widened the gap, countered only by Devanath's second goal for MPSC.
The final chukker was a masterclass in dominance: Alex fired a brace, Bon Bon added his second, and Nongpoknganba capped his stellar performance with a seventh goal, sealing a statement victory.
Thangmeiband Youth PC stormed to a decisive 10-2 win against Laaman PC, spearheaded by Yaikhomba and S Saolin, who dominated with four goals each.
M Chao-ba and K Jogendra contributed one apiece to complete the rout.
Laaman PC's A Kishan provided brief resistance with two consolation goals, but the Thangmeiband squad's clinical finishing and cohesive teamwork left little room for a comeback.
Universal PC-A edged out Seven Star PC 6-4 in a closely contested match, with P Bung shining as the hero with four crucial goals.
O Paikhomba and K Pandit bolstered the scoreline with a goal each, while Seven Star's Th Tiken delivered a valiant effort, single-handedly netting all four goals for his side.
Despite Tiken's heroics, Universal's disciplined defence and Bung's precision in attack ensured their narrow victory.
