Six state boxers selected for Asian Boxing C'ship, national camp

Imphal, April 04 2025:
Six young boxers from Manipur have earned places in the Indian squad for the Asian Boxing Championship, set to take place in Amman, Jordan, from April 17 to May 15, 2025 .
Additionally, five other state boxers have been selected for national camp.
The selections were made following the U-15 and U-17 boys' and girls' trials conducted by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) at the National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) in Rohtak.

In the U-15 boys' category, Kh Rudraksh (46 kg) from SAJSTC Imphal and Nelson Khwairakpam (55 kg) representing NSA Khuman Lampak secured spots in the national team.
The U-15 girls' lineup will include M Milky (43 kg) from NSA Khuman Lampak and S Linthoi (49 kg) of SRBA Mayang Imphal.
Among the U-17 category, L Ambedkar (48 kg) from NSA Khuman Lampak has been selected in the boys' category, while L Radhamani (57 kg) from SRBA Mayang Imphal will compete in the U-17 girls' division.
Additionally, five other state boxers - H Malem (40 kg), Th Priy (58 kg), Singsa Shimray (48 kg), M Lanchenba (50 kg), and Kh Lanchenba (63 kg) - have been selected to join the national camp, according to Manipur Amateur Boxing Association.
