All India Ranking Tournament : Ng Rishav wins bronze with compatriot Kyoveio, Shantipriya in U-17 doubles and mixed doubles

Imphal, September 21 2025: Manipur's Rishav Ngangom and Kyoveio Vemai secured a bronze medal in the Boys' Doubles (BD) Under-17 category competition at the recently concluded Yonex-Sunrise Ashwani Gupta Memorial All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2025 .

The tournament was held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana, from September 13 to September 21, said Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) in a press release.

Rishav Ngangom also demonstrated exceptional skill in the Mixed Doubles (XD) event, earning a second bronze medal with his partner Shantipriya Hazarika from Assam.

Their outstanding performance marks a significant achievement for the badminton fraternity of both Manipur and Assam, it said.

The Yonex-Sunrise Ashwani Gupta Memorial All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2025 is a prestigious event sanctioned by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) .

It is a crucial selection tournament for the upcoming Badminton Asia U17&U15Junior Championships 2025, making the medals won by the young players even more commendable, it said.

The MSBA also extended its congratulations to the players and their coaches for their relentless efforts and for bringing laurels to the State.

The association is committed to nurturing such talent and looks forward to more such achievements in the future, it added.
