Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division Football League : LMLCC edge 3-1 past SAO for second straight victory

Imphal, October 01 2025: LMLCC, Langmeidong got the better of SAO, Kakching by 3-1 goals to extend their winning run to two games in the ongoing 22nd Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division Football League organised by DSA Kakching.

LMLCC, having trounced KMSWC, Keirak by 5-0 goals in their league opener, carried forward their momentum to dominate both the possession and the scoring chances against SAO this afternoon at DSA Kakching playground before coming out 3-1 winners.

Both the teams started cautiously but SAO, who lost 2-3 to SDO, Pallel in their opening match, made the most of a chance in the 7th minute through N Robinkumar to earn the lead.

LMLCC, however, fought back and drew level when Wealson broke deep into SAO defence to beat the keeper with a fine shot in the 28th minute.

LMLCC continued to press and managed to turn things around right before the break as Y Abinash converted a penalty following a challenge inside the SAO box.

LMLCC rode on their momentum to keep the possession in the second half and raced to a 3-1 lead when S Leishemba, who subbed in for Th Wealson after the break, made a clinical finish.

SAO did their best to reduce the margin but LMLCC defence kept all threats at bay to seal the 3-1 victory.

YWU, Kakching will play KMSWC, Keirak in the next match on October 3 at the same venue.
