15th DGAR Sentinel Cup Chingkheihunba Polo Club emerge overall team champs

Chingkheihunba Polo Club emerged overall team champions for senior men in the 15th DG Assam Rifles Sentinel Cup Equestrian Championship 2018 and 9th Junior State Equestrian Championship which was held at Mapal Kangjeibung from January 2 with a total of 24.5 points.
Junior men's and girls' teams of Chingkheihunba Polo Club also claimed the overall junior team and overall girls team titles with 11.5 points and 13.5 points respectively.
The championship was conducted by 6 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in association with Manipur Equestrian Association and Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association.
The closing ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Shokin Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General Assam Rifles, Dr Ksh Chourjit Singh, president, Manipur Pony Society and Major General Virendra Singh, VSM, IGAR (South) and Dr H Chaoba Singh, Director Veterinary and Animal Husbandary Services as dignitaries who gave away prizes to the winners and participants.
In the Senior Men Tent Pegging Lance event staged today, MPSC-A team comprising of S Bimol, M Vivekananda Singh, M Surjit Singh, Kh Nongpoknganba bagged the gold medal scoring 116 points while Chingkheihunba Polo Club-A (CHPC) and Chingkheihunba Polo Club-B settled for the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
In the senior men show jumping event, Y Suraj of CHPC covered the course without any penalty in a time of 58.13 sec to win the gold medal.
L Thomson of the same team bagged the silver medal with 4 points in a time of 1:14.34 sec.
Th Jacob of K&MM Riding School claimed the bronze medal.
In the girls' show jumping event, Th Tanna of CHPC bagged the gold medal with a time of 51.41 seconds while Neelu RK of the same team clinched the silver medal.
Jetholia of K&MM Riding School finished third to claim the bronze medal in this event.
Chitrasen of CRYPHSA secured -1.1622 points to fetch a gold medal in the show jumping event for junior boys.
W Johny of K&MM Riding School and P Bikash of CHPC finished second and third respectively to win the silver and the bronze medal.
In the girls tent pegging lance individual event, Th Tanna of CHPC got 26.5 points to lay her hands on the gold medal while S Sangita of K&MM Riding School and O Victoria of Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club bagged the silver and the broze medal respectively.
