CRPF gifts blankets to destitute children

Imphal, February 07 2018:
As a part of its measures to reach out to the local populace especially needy sections of the society, 109 Bn CRPF today distributed 50 blankets to the inmates of All Manipur Handicapped People' s Organisation, Mongsangei.
The function presided over by Vinod Kumar, Commandant was attended by officers, subordinate officers, other ranks of 109 Bn CRPF, AMHPO secretary Ibechaobi Devi, staff and more than 50 inmates.
Speaking at the function, Vinod Kumar stated that 109 Bn, CRPF is rendering its services to the people of the State by performing highly sensitive duties like security of the Governor, Raj Bhawan and also escort of IOCL and FCI vehicles between Imphal and Dimapur and area domination duties along NH-2 at Mao and Senapati area.
He further stated that it is the duty of each and every responsible citizen of the society to extent help to the specially abled children.
For use of the children inmates of the institution during the chilly winter season, more than 50 blankets were handed over to them.
A cultural programme and a yoga demonstration were performed by the children inmates of the institution during the function.
Ibechaobi on behalf of the organisation thanked the Commandant and all other ranks of 109 Bn, CRPF for their kind gesture and much needed help to the children of the institution.
