Tengnoupal, August 08 2025: A pangolin/scaly anteater rescued by one Marem Wilbur of Maringphai village in Tengnoupal district from Saibol village on Thursday was handed over to the Forest Department the same day.

After Marem Wilbur informed the Forest Department about rescue of the pangolin, subsequently, a Forest Department team under the aegis of Tengnoupal forest range range officer Md Salauddin and instruction of DFO Mahamuda Begum, took custody of the pangolin.

The forest staff then released the pangolin in Lamdeng area of Langol Reserved Forest, Sadar West Range.

DFO Mahamuda Begum commended Marem Wilbur for rescuing the pangolin and handing it over to the Forest Department.
