Imphal, July 28, 2012: Vanmahotsav 2012 was celebrated at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre at Lamphelpat today.

The celebration programme was graced by K Jagadiswor Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest, Govt of Manipur; and Dr N Prakash, Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre as the chief guest and president respectively.

The dignitaries have planted tree saplings in the ICAR campus.

Around 500 tree saplings of five species (bokul, treebean, karpur, gulmohar and jacaaranda) were planted within the campus today.
