Imphal, May 11 2024: Unknown armed miscreants shot a woman at Phadibi Lambi under Nambol police station at around 8 pm on Saturday.

The woman has been identified as Moirangthem Baby (40), wife of (late) Bishorjit of Tentha Khunou but presently staying on rent opposite to Lamphel Cinema Hall.

She was shot with one bullet on her left calf.

On receiving the report, a team of Nambol police station rushed to the spot and took her to CHC, Nambol for first aid after which she was referred to RIMS, Imphal where she is presently undergoing treatment.

A case has been registered at Nambol police station.
